Network and Security Administrator for Load Balancers and Firewalls

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced network and security administrator to administer and further develop our critical infrastructure systems. In this role, you will be responsible for the operation and optimization of load balancer systems as well as Web Application Firewalls (WAF). You will perform troubleshooting for security and network disruptions and support the automation of operational and administrative processes.

Your tasks include the implementation of security policies, rule set optimizations, and change requests, as well as performance and availability management of critical network and security systems. Furthermore, you will create technical documentation and operational concepts.

We expect very good knowledge of enterprise firewalls and load balancer technologies. You should have extensive experience in automation and scripting (Python, REST APIs, Ansible) and be proficient with version control systems and GitOps principles. Knowledge of CI/CD tools and container platforms (Kubernetes/OpenShift) is required. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or comparable tools) will complete your profile.

You will work in a technically demanding environment and contribute significantly to the security and stability of our systems. Ideally, you have several years of experience in similar positions and are willing to continuously develop.
