Application Manager 100% – Lucerne

Project: For a workplace modernization project, we are looking for an experienced specialist to support the consolidation and validation of an extensive application landscape. As part of the renewal of the client environment, over 200 applications will be reviewed, tested, and prepared for future use.

Responsibilities

• Analysis and consolidation of an existing application landscape
• Identification of redundant or no longer needed software
• Support in defining a standardized software catalog
• Planning, execution, and documentation of validation and functional tests for software packages
• Tracking of errors and coordination with the external packaging team
• Accompanying applications until functional and technical acceptance
• Close collaboration with business departments, engineering, and operations
• Ensuring structured documentation and tracking of open points
• Support in building uniform quality and test processes

Role: Application Manager

• Several years of experience in Application Management, Workplace Engineering, or Application Packaging
• Experience in the validation and testing of software packages
• Good knowledge of software packaging and deployment processes (e.g., MSI)
• Experience in coordination between business departments, engineering teams, and external service providers
• Structured and meticulous way of working, as well as strong documentation skills
• Knowledge of change, release, and validation processes
• Experience in regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, pharma, medical technology, financial services, or public sector) is an advantage.
• German fluent in spoken and written word
