Application support

Project overview

We are looking for an Application Support specialist for an interesting international project in Bratislava for our TITANS freelancers team.

Project requirements

• ensuring the operation and maintenance of production systems related to sales processes
• monitoring the availability, performance, and stability of applications
• analysis of application logs, identification of error states, and searching for the causes of incidents
• diagnostics of application problems in systems built on Java technologies and Spring framework
• analysis of SQL queries and database problems in MySQL, or other database systems
• quick diagnostics of serious application outages and evaluation of their impact on production operations
• coordination of incident resolution with development, infrastructure, and other support teams without directly making changes in production
• tracking, prioritization, and monitoring of incidents through Jira, Confluence, and ITSM tools
• documenting findings, resolution procedures, and incident analysis results
• communication about the status of incidents, their severity, and further steps with relevant teams
• support of operational activities and incident resolution during on-call duty and services outside standard working hours
• min. 3 years of project experience in the area of application support, production support, or enterprise application management
• knowledge of the principles of operation of Java applications using Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, and PostgreSQL
• ability to analyze production problems and quickly identify their probable cause
• ability to prioritize incidents based on severity and business impact
• good communication and coordination skills in incident resolution across technical teams
• willingness to work on-call / ONCALL DUTY
• experience with:
• production support of Java applications and diagnostics of application incidents
• object-oriented programming in Java and architecture of applications built on Spring MVC or Spring Boot
• databases and SQL, especially MySQL
• writing and analyzing SQL queries
• application monitoring using Dynatrace
• log analysis via Kibana
• incident tracking and management using Jira, Confluence, or ITSM tools
• advantageous experience with:
• PL/SQL
• Oracle and SQL Server databases
• Gradle and Git tools
• support of large-scale enterprise systems in an international environment
• independence and analytical thinking
