The Need

Mission Context

As part of a strategic program to secure and modernize its industrial systems, a major French player with numerous industrial sites is looking for an Industrial Networks Expert.

The program aims to strengthen the resilience of industrial infrastructure, reduce the risk of cyberattack propagation, protect critical functions, and gradually modernize network architectures.

The scope covers several dozen industrial sites across France.

Several pilot sites have already been deployed, defining target architectures, deployment methodology, and operating procedures with business teams. A new industrialization and deployment phase is now to be launched.

Solid expertise is expected in:

Knowledge of Extreme Networks / XiQ is particularly appreciated.

Knowledge of industrial automation environments such as Yokogawa, Rockwell, Siemens, or Schneider is also a significant plus.

• Conduct technical visits and audits of various industrial sites.
• Analyze existing architectures and identify gaps with target architectures.
• Validate equipment inventories and IP addressing plans.
• Define and document physical and logical architectures.
• Produce and maintain network maps and flow matrices.
• Implement industrial network segmentation principles.
• Integrate cybersecurity requirements into network architectures.
• Define necessary infrastructure evolutions: equipment, racks, cabling, power, etc.
• Participate in architecture reviews with architects, business teams, and technical experts.
• Define migration strategies with business teams and integrators.
• Prepare data required for network equipment configuration.
• Verify technical prerequisites before interventions.
• Challenge and perform quality reviews of configurations produced by partners.
• Verify installation compliance with architecture documents.
• Conduct technical and functional tests during migrations and commissioning.
• Analyze and resolve network incidents encountered during deployments.
• Support handover to support and operations teams.
• Coordination with integrators and the network managed service provider, quality review of their configurations, leading architecture reviews
