Job description
Seeking an experienced professional for a 3-month hybrid project to optimize production processes and factory structures, focusing on layout planning, material flow, and cycle time reduction.
Project overview
We are looking for an experienced professional to optimize our production processes and factory structures. In this three-month project, you will work on planning and optimizing factory, cell, and line layouts, including material flow and route planning.
Your tasks include conducting cycle time and line balancing, bottleneck management, and reducing lead times and inventories. You will analyze and re-cycle small production lines and identify potential for waste. Another focus is on defining and implementing work standards, taking ergonomics and occupational safety into account.
We expect in-depth knowledge of structured Lean methods such as value stream analysis, 5S, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, and Six Sigma. Experience with digitalization solutions such as ERP/MES systems, CAD applications, and shop floor IT is required. You should be proficient in time studies, cycle time calculation, and setup time optimization.
Furthermore, you bring experience with cost-down and efficiency programs as well as make-or-buy analyses. Knowledge of capex planning and controlling is an advantage. Compliance with relevant standards, norms, and compliance requirements, as well as careful documentation, are a matter of course.
The project will run for three months in a hybrid working model at a location in Bavaria. If you have experience in production optimization and enjoy working on improving manufacturing processes, we look forward to your application.
