AWS Cloud System Architect with Team Leadership

Project overview

For an established public sector company, we are looking for an experienced Cloud System Architect with functional team leadership. You will be responsible for the technical system architecture of an enterprise-wide Public Cloud Developer Platform and lead the corresponding platform team.

The company operates its business applications in a hybrid cloud architecture with high availability, geo-redundancy, and complete automation. The infrastructure is based on modern principles such as microservices, zero-trust security, and end-to-end CI/CD integration. The Cloud Developer Platform consists of a Core Platform (Networking, Observability, IAM, Security) and a Delivery Platform (Infrastructure Blueprints, Shared Services). Several dozen business applications with hundreds of microservices run on this platform.

Your responsibilities include responsibility for the technical system architecture, taking architectural specifications into account, the functional leadership of the platform team, and the prioritization and delivery reliability of the backlog. You will develop technical specifications for technologies and architecture patterns, develop AWS-specific solution proposals, and communicate cloud designs to business units and management. The team works in FinDevSecOps mode within an agile SAFe construct.

Extensive experience with AWS, cloud architectures, microservices, and modern development practices is required. You bring leadership experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to convey complex technical concepts understandably.
