Project overview

For our client, we are looking for an Azure Cloud Administrator (m/f/d)

Our client, a public institution in Vienna, operates an enterprise environment with Microsoft and Linux systems as well as cloud services in Microsoft Azure. Support is sought for the administration and further development of these cloud services, for automation projects in the Azure environment, and in database administration. The activity is predominantly remote, with team days on-site planned; the exact scope will be determined at the start of the project and adjusted as needed. The planned duration is 2 to 4 years.

Responsibilities

• Azure Cloud Administration
• Execution of automation projects in the Azure cloud environment
• Support and further development of cloud services
• Database administration as well as performance and capacity planning
• Support of an enterprise Microsoft and Linux environment (Windows Server, Red Hat, Ubuntu)
• Support, consulting, and guidance for projects
• Support with support cases and error analysis
• Execution of deployments and change requests
• Creation of documentation

Requirements

• Administration expertise in Microsoft Azure and its environment
• Cloud Management (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS)
• Active Directory / Azure AD
• Understanding of the migration of cloud computing resources
• Knowledge of the principles and operation of cloud services
• Administration of Windows Server 2019 and higher
• Administration of Linux systems
• Database administration: MS-SQL, MySQL, CosmosDB
• Experience with various middleware components
• Scripting with PowerShell, Azure CLI and Bicep
• IaC and pipeline deployment according to DevOps principles
• Several years of relevant project experience
• Full-time availability and willingness to work flexible hours
• Residence within reachable distance of the deployment location for on-site team days
• Impeccable personal conduct, proven by a certificate of conduct upon request
• Hands-on mentality and teamwork skills

Nice to have

Very good German language skills, spoken and written (Matura level), as well as English skills at B2 level are required.
