Responsibilities

• Planning, setup, and implementation of an Azure cloud solution for the migration of an existing customer environment to the Microsoft Azure Cloud
• Analysis of the existing infrastructure as well as definition and implementation of the migration approach
• Execution of extensive data and infrastructure migration, especially of file shares and Microsoft SQL databases
• Further development and automation of the cloud infrastructure using Terraform
• Setup and configuration of Azure services as well as implementation of identity and authorization concepts with Microsoft Entra ID
• Close collaboration with internal stakeholders as well as technical consulting on architecture and migration decisions
• Ongoing adaptation and optimization of the solution architecture during the project
• Support with technical and organizational issues regarding security, compliance, and risk assessments
• Independent implementation of defined measures as well as responsibility for the successful realization of the migration up to go-live

Requirements

My advantages:

• Sound experience as an Azure Cloud Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, or in a comparable role
• Sound experience in planning and implementing Azure cloud migrations
• Very good knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
• Experience in setting up, operating, and further developing Azure infrastructures
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID as well as identity and authorization concepts
• Independent and structured way of working as well as the ability to implement technical projects independently
• Experience in regulated or security-critical environments is an advantage
• Ideally, you have the certification Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or a comparable Azure certification
• Ideally, you have experience in governance and risk assessments
• German language skills are an advantage, but not a requirement; good English skills are required for working in a technical environment
• Responsible key role with a lot of creative freedom
• High degree of independence
• Exciting Azure migration project with a modern technology stack
• Possibility of a longer-term perspective after project completion
• Collaboration with an experienced and technically adept team
