• You independently develop backend solutions based on customer requirements and coordinate closely with the agile development team.
• You program and implement technical components, interfaces, modules, and databases in compliance with specified development standards.
• You perform code reviews, component, and module tests, and fix errors from test phases in applications and components.
• You set up development environments, including continuous integration, and create delivery artifacts for the affected applications.
• You document technical components according to established standards and actively participate in the refinement of complex functional requirements.
• You structure functional topics and transfer them into existing functional architecture models.
• You participate in technical release and version planning, as well as in decision proposals for technical topics.
• You present technically complex issues, analyze technological trends, and check their applicability.
• You ensure the technical future viability of IT systems and advise business units on the use of suitable technologies.
• You design and implement high-quality technical components with a focus on security, robustness, performance, and scalability.
• You conceptualize individualized and highly complex applications and develop in the cloud environment, including provisioning of cloud infrastructure.
• You conduct risk analyses and assessments of technical components.
• Required:
• Completed IT degree at diploma or master's level, a comparable education, or many years of practical experience.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in software development.
• At least 3 years of proven practical experience in backend development, for example with microservices based on Spring Boot or with Python, considering best practices for security and performance.
• Comprehensive expertise in complex software development with a focus on architecture, testing, deployment, and maintainability.
• Good knowledge of JSON, REST services, and OpenAPI.
• Good knowledge of SQL, ideally with Postgres or DuckDB.
• Experience with Postgres, especially in the areas of transactions, indexes, and query optimization.
• Experience with design principles such as SOLID, ACIT, and other design patterns.
• At least 1 year of experience in test-driven development with tools like Mockito, JUnit, or pytest, as well as in CI/CD test automation and distributed version control with Git.
• Experience in pair programming, code reviews, and refactorings.
• Experience with CI/CD, especially with Gitlab-CI, or alternatively GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• At least 1 year of experience in a cloud environment, for example with PostgreSQL and S3 or RDS.
• Very good and repeatedly proven practical knowledge in the design, implementation, and operation of data pipelines, for example with Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect.
• Interest in AI-supported development, for example with Kiro, GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Hermes.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills and a consistently solution-oriented approach, even with complex technical questions.
• The ability to critically validate results from AI-supported development and evaluate them for factual accuracy, quality, security, and practical suitability.
• Independent, structured, proactive, and results-oriented way of working.
• Strong teamwork skills, communication skills, assertiveness, and a high degree of initiative, independence, reliability, and prioritization skills.
• Desired:
• Confident use of JIRA and Confluence.
• Knowledge in analysis, evaluation, and estimation of delivery units such as user stories and backlog items, as well as in their refinement within the team.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools like Grafana, Instana, or Graylog.
• Technical knowledge in the area of infrastructure data management and geodata systems.
• Technical knowledge in the topology and network modeling of logistics infrastructure, ideally with corresponding industry standards and data models.
• Enjoyment of consulting, moderation, and collaboration within the development team.
• Experience with agile methods and self-organized teams, as well as an agile mindset.
• Openness to change and a good understanding of business contexts in close coordination with the team and product owner.
• Good English skills, spoken and written.
• Good German skills, spoken and written (min. C1).
