BI / Data Analyst – KPI Dashboard Learning Programs | Onboarding in Berlin, then Remote

Project overview

We are a growing company in the field of further education and are looking for an experienced BI / Data Analyst for a client project. The goal is standardized KPI reporting, with which our team can continuously monitor the learning success, engagement, and satisfaction of learners in multiple cohorts and counteract deviations at an early stage.

The dashboard should be available to various internal stakeholders and enable the export of reports that are passed on to stakeholders and clients.

Reporting Stack

We are open: everything from Google Sheets to Metabase to a custom solution is conceivable. Experience with at least one common BI tool (Metabase, Looker Studio, Power BI, Tableau or similar) and SQL is important; we will make the concrete tool decision together in the ramp-up phase.

Use of AI

We use modern AI models and tools ourselves within the company and have nothing against their use in your work. The decisive factor is the result: solutions created with AI support must be correct, stable, maintainable, and scalable, and you must be able to explain and take responsibility for them. We are not looking for artifacts generated by simple prompts, but well-thought-out solutions that you stand behind.

Job facts: Direct client project

• Conception and setup of a KPI dashboard (cohort comparison, completion rates, satisfaction/NPS, impact measurement against baseline surveys, etc.)
• Connection and preparation of data sources (including learning platform and survey data), definition and documentation of key figures with the team
• Export and distribution functions for stakeholder and client reports
• After go-live: ongoing maintenance, ad-hoc adjustments, and further development
• Conceptual consulting of the team on reporting and data issues; we are currently restructuring our reporting stack and are open to your recommendations
• Phase 1 – Ramp-up (Start mid/end of October 2026): Setup of reporting within approx. 2 weeks on-site in Berlin, approx. 8–10 person-days
• Phase 2 – Support Q4 2026: approx. 1 day per week over approx. 10 weeks, remote
• Phase 3 – Support Q1 2027 (optional, depending on need): approx. 0.5 days per week over approx. 12 weeks, remote
• Several years of experience in building KPI dashboards and reporting processes
• Very good SQL skills, confident handling of data modeling and data quality
• Experience with at least one BI/dashboarding tool, ideally Metabase or Looker Studio
• Ability to translate requirements from non-technical stakeholders into clear key figures
• Pragmatic, independent way of working; you contribute suggestions instead of just processing tickets
• Fluent German and English
• Nice to have: Experience with learning/survey data (LMS, NPS, pre-/post-surveys), Python or Google Apps Script
• Start: Mid/end of October 2026
• Duration: until the end of December 2026, extension until March 2027 possible
• Workload: Phase 1 approx. 2 weeks full-time, then approx. 1 day/week (Q4) or approx. 0.5 days/week (Q1)
• Location: Ramp-up phase on-site in Berlin, then remote with the option of on-site appointments for alignments
