Job description
Experienced BMC Helix ITSM Consultant needed to support the platform engineering team in the financial services industry. The role involves operational support, ongoing development, and independent technical task execution.
Project overview
Task
For one of our clients in the financial services industry, we are looking for an experienced BMC Helix ITSM Consultant to temporarily strengthen the platform engineering team. You will support the operational business as well as the ongoing further development of an existing BMC Helix ITSM environment and relieve the internal Lead Engineer. You will independently take on technical tasks, analyze problems, and implement pragmatic solutions.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring stable operation as well as administration and configuration of the BMC Helix ITSM platform
- Independent processing of incidents, service requests, and technical problems
- Analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization of existing ITSM processes and configurations
- Support and adaptation of existing integration jobs with Spoon / Pentaho Data Integration (PDI)
- Implementation of adjustments, testing, and production-related improvements
- Collaboration with the Lead Engineer and internal process and service managers
- Technical documentation and knowledge transfer to the internal team
- If necessary, punctual support of an ongoing ITOM project

- Several years of practical experience with BMC Helix ITSM, especially in administration, configuration, and operation
- Sound knowledge of central ITSM modules, especially Incident Management, Problem Management, and Service Request Management
- Practical experience with Spoon / Pentaho Data Integration (PDI), especially analysis and adaptation of existing integration jobs
- Good knowledge of ITSM processes and ITIL
- Experience in troubleshooting, testing, and technical implementation of platform adjustments
- Independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working
- Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with existing system landscapes and react flexibly to changing requirements
- Good German and English skills (at least B2)
