Project overview
BOM Specialist needed to support and improve BOM processes within the 3DEXPERIENCE PLM environment. The role focuses on functional support and troubleshooting for BOM creation/maintenance/release/change, day-to-day PLM operations (triage, root cause analysis, coordination), driving user adoption through training and documentation, monitoring BOM data quality and governance, and partnering with engineering/manufacturing/supply chain/quality/IT to deliver process improvements and support UAT and deployments.
Responsibilities
- Provide functional support for BOM-related processes in the 3DEXPERIENCE PLM environment.
- Troubleshoot user issues related to BOM creation, maintenance, release, and change processes.
- Support day-to-day PLM operations, including issue triage, root cause analysis, and resolution coordination.
- Partner with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and IT teams to improve BOM processes and user experience.
- Identify, document, and prioritize enhancement opportunities for BOM workflows, structures, and related PLM capabilities.
- Drive user adoption through training, job aids, process documentation, and hands-on support.
- Promote standard work and best practices for BOM creation, maintenance, governance, and change control.
- Monitor BOM data quality and support corrective actions to improve accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Assist with testing, validation, and deployment of process or system enhancements.
- Support change management activities related to new PLM capabilities, process updates, and user onboarding.
- Track and report support trends, recurring issues, adoption challenges, and process improvement opportunities.
- Contribute to governance and compliance for BOM-related data and processes.

- BOM structures (creation, maintenance, release)
- Product lifecycle processes
- Engineering change management (change control)
- Issue triage, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for PLM/BOM processes
- Manufacturing environment exposure (engineering/manufacturing/supply chain/quality collaboration)
- Process documentation and user training material creation
- Stakeholder communication (explaining process/system concepts to non-technical users)
