Business Analyst / Data Engineer with Information Architecture Competence

We are now looking for a Business Analyst / Data Engineer with information architecture competence.

Description of the assignment:

Higab has established a Data Lakehouse to collect, structure, and make information from the company's various business systems available. An initial use case within waste management has been developed and is in the final phase. The next step is to identify and prioritize new use cases for the Data Lakehouse based on existing material and business needs. The goal is to create concrete business value by combining and making information available for analysis, follow-up, and decision support.

Role description:

The consultant shall independently and in close collaboration with Higab identify needs, propose solutions, and develop and implement new use cases within the existing Data Lakehouse. The assignment includes the following:

Expected outcome:

• Identify and concretize needs
• Conduct dialogues and workshops with business representatives.
• Identify opportunities to use and combine information from different systems.
• Base work on existing information mapping and previously conducted development efforts.
• Actively propose new use cases based on the platform's capabilities and business needs.
• Develop solution proposals
• Analyze identified needs and propose suitable solutions.
• Assess data availability, technical prerequisites, complexity, and expected business value.
• Develop concrete solution proposals with estimated effort and any dependencies.
• Support Higab in prioritizing which solutions to develop.
• Develop and implement solutions
• Design and develop prioritized solutions within the existing Data Lakehouse environment.
• Integrate, process, and structure data from relevant information sources.
• Develop data models, information flows, and input for analysis and reporting.
• Test, quality assure, and document developed solutions.
• Collaborate with Intraservice and other technical resources as needed.
• Anchor and hand over
• Present and demonstrate developed solutions to the business.
• Ensure that the solutions meet identified needs.
• Document the structure of the solutions, information flows, and dependencies.
• Conduct knowledge transfer and contribute to the conditions for continued management and development.
• Identified and prioritized development opportunities for the Data Lakehouse.
• Concrete solution proposals based on business needs.
• Developed, tested, and documented solutions for agreed-upon use cases.
• Improved access to consolidated information for analysis and follow-up.
• Recommendations for continued development of the platform.

• At least 10 years of relevant experience in business analysis, information architecture, and development of data solutions.
• Documented experience in developing and implementing solutions within Data Lakehouse or equivalent data platforms.
• Solid experience in data integration, data modeling, and transformation of data from various business systems.
• Experience in identifying business needs, proposing solutions, and independently carrying out technical development.
• Experience in leading workshops and translating business needs into concrete use cases.
• Ability to assess technical feasibility, complexity, and dependencies between systems.
• Experience in testing, quality assurance, and documentation of developed solutions.
• Very good ability to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Experience from the real estate industry and real estate-related business systems.
• Experience in information management within property management, energy, operations, and finance.
• Experience in information governance, data quality, and information management.
• Experience in further developing existing data platforms.
• Experience from assignments within municipal companies or public sector operations.

Project details

Yes, the work can be performed mainly remotely. Workshops, needs meetings, and status updates will be conducted on-site at Higab in Gothenburg as needed and by agreement.

Scope:

The assignment is carried out continuously based on Higab's prioritized needs. Time and cost for each development effort must be approved by Higab before work begins.

Assignment period:

2026-12-01 - 2027-12-20

Option for extension:

Possibility of extension by up to 12 months by agreement, within the framework of the current framework agreement and with an additional budget established before any extension.
