Business Central Developer

Project overview

For our client, we are looking for an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central developer to support the further development and optimization of an existing ERP landscape.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is already in use as the central ERP system and has been expanded over the years through numerous individual developments and customizations.

As part of the project, it is necessary to further develop existing applications and customer-specific extensions, technically implement new requirements, and ensure the integration of adjacent systems.

Another focus is to evaluate existing custom developments, considering the Business Central standard, and to develop them in a future-proof manner.

We are looking for an experienced, independently working developer who can quickly familiarize themselves with established system landscapes, recognize technical interrelationships, and take responsibility for development packages.

Responsibilities

• Further development, customization, and optimization of existing applications within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Conception and implementation of new functionalities and customer-specific extensions using AL
• Development, customization, and support of interfaces between Business Central and adjacent systems
• Implementation and integration of APIs to ensure smooth data exchange
• Analysis of existing custom developments and evaluation of possible standard-oriented solution approaches
• Independent technical implementation of new functional requirements
• Analysis and resolution of errors, as well as optimization of existing processes and applications
• Technical documentation of implemented developments and interfaces

We can organize a client interview for October 22nd between 3 PM and 4 PM. The interview will take place via Teams and will last approximately 30 minutes.

Participation in the interview requires a prior conversation with me. Afterwards, we will decide together whether participation in the interview is advisable.

• Several years of in-depth experience in development with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and the AL programming language
• Very good knowledge in the development and integration of interfaces, especially REST APIs and web services
• Profound understanding of Business Central standard functionalities and technical architecture
• Extensive experience in the development and customization of customer-specific extensions
• Experience in handling established, highly customized ERP environments
• Ability to quickly analyze, understand, and independently further develop existing developments
• Experience in technical conception and implementation of more complex development requirements
• Structured, solution-oriented, and independent way of working
• Good German and English language skills
• Knowledge of logistics processes and their mapping within Business Central
• Experience with the modernization of existing custom developments and a stronger orientation towards the BC standard
• Knowledge of C# and web development
• Industry knowledge or understanding of process flows in logistics
• Experience with the integration of external applications and third-party systems
