Responsibilities

• Process incidents and support requests; advise internal customers from IT and Business.
• Ensure stable operation and further development of the IAM/IAG platform, especially provisioning and account management.
• Analyze operational, support, and incident data; implement bug fixes, automations, and process improvements.
• Design and implement technical integrations, interfaces, connectors, and API connections.
• Evaluate future IAM/IAG components and architecturally embed them; anchor Zero Trust and Least Privilege.
• Gather requirements with business departments, specify them, and accompany them until rollout; close collaboration with PO, architecture, and suppliers.

• IAM practice -> several years of practical experience in a comparable role in a complex Identity and Access Management environment.
• Technical depth -> sound understanding of authorization management, role models, identity governance, and IAM security principles.
• Operations & Support -> Operation AND further development of business-critical platforms as well as structured processing of incidents and support cases.
• Communication skills -> quickly grasp complex contexts, communicate them appropriately to the audience, and develop solutions with stakeholders.
• Work style -> independent and solution-oriented; critically examine existing approaches and implement improvements.
• Languages -> very good German; communicate in English in daily work.
• IAM platforms such as Omada, SailPoint, One Identity, Microsoft Identity Manager or similar.
• Integration of directory services and target systems such as Active Directory, Entra ID, Exchange, or SAP.
• Automation, scripting, and integrations with PowerShell, REST APIs, and SQL.
• Privileged Access Management, Cloud Governance, or implementation of Zero Trust and Least Privilege.
• Remote policy -> 40-60% on-site at the client's premises (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) / 40-60% Home Office, depending on the project phase; remote work only allowed within Switzerland.
• Extracts from the debt enforcement register and criminal record will be requested (residence Germany: SCHUFA information and police clearance certificate).

For our end client in the Swiss transport and infrastructure sector, we are looking for a Senior IAM Engineer for the operation and further development of the Identity platform as follows:

Starting situation & Mandate:

The end client's Identity & Access Management is responsible for around 80,000 enterprise identities and operates a modern cloud infrastructure in SAP and non-SAP environments; Omada Identity Cloud is used for governance, identity management, and provisioning. We are looking for someone who can ensure stable platform operation AND actively develop the IAM/IAG landscape.

The role combines engineering and operations with an understanding of architecture and security. It is explicitly expected to question existing processes, derive sustainable improvements, and coach less experienced team members.
