Job description

Seeking an experienced Business Consultant with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience to analyze business processes, define requirements, and manage the implementation of IFS Cloud solutions. The role involves ensuring business and IT readiness, managing change, and supporting testing and go-live phases.

Responsibilities

Critical Success Factors:

You independently bring structure to complex and changing situations;

  • Business & Process Analysis: You analyze end-to-end business processes and needs and translate them into concrete solution directions and necessary changes in process, system, and methodology.
  • Requirements: You translate needs into clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that stakeholders can work with.
  • Impact Analysis: You make clear what impact changes have on processes, users, IFS, data, integrations, and surrounding systems.
  • Realization & Implementation: You monitor the coherence between activities still needed to successfully and practically implement solutions.
  • Business & IT Readiness: You identify what is needed to make both business and IT ready for upcoming releases, make readiness criteria explicit, and monitor the necessary follow-up.
  • Change & Adoption: You make clear what changes mean for users, processes, roles, and methodologies and ensure that the necessary change and adoption activities are part of the implementation.
  • Test & Acceptance: You work closely with the test team and the business and support functional testing, chain testing, and user acceptance.
  • Risks & Dependencies: You identify blockages and dependencies and organize the necessary alignment and follow-up in a timely manner.
  • Go-Live & Hypercare: After go-live, you monitor the practicality in operations and translate relevant findings and lessons learned into concrete improvements.
  • Direction: When activities get stuck between teams or ownership is insufficiently clear, you bring the right people together and organize progress and decision-making.
  • Transition: You contribute to ensuring that knowledge, processes, methodologies, and responsibilities are increasingly embedded in the standing organization throughout 2027.
  • You do not wait for information but actively seek it out;
  • You quickly understand dependencies between business, processes, systems, and teams;
  • You combine strong analysis with decisiveness and execution capability;
  • You maintain an overview when multiple releases and priorities are active simultaneously;
  • You are a strong discussion partner for both business and IT;
  • You mobilize people when activities or decision-making stagnate;
  • You know how to translate complex changes into what is concretely needed to make them workable for operations;
  • You feel responsible for the overall result and not just your own work package;
  • You are pragmatic and results-oriented without losing sight of quality and risks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's work and thinking level
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience as a Business Consultant, Implementation Consultant, or in a comparable senior role.
  • Demonstrable experience with multiple full implementation cycles within a complex enterprise environment, from requirements and design to go-live and hypercare (hard requirement!).
  • Demonstrable experience with complex enterprise implementations involving multiple teams, integrations, data sources, and operational users.
  • Extensive experience with end-to-end business and process analysis, requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Demonstrable experience with business readiness, UAT, implementation, and adoption within a business-critical environment.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, including several years in a senior role within complex implementation or transformation environments.
  • Demonstrable experience in organizing progress when ownership, dependencies, or decision-making are insufficiently clear.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum and preferably SAFe
  • Experience in organizing work across multiple teams and disciplines.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Good command of Dutch and English.
