Business Development Consultant – Industrial Decarbonization

Project overview

For our client in the energy industry, we are looking for a "Business Development Consultant – Industrial Decarbonization" on a contracting basis.

Responsibilities

• Identification of potential customers with concrete interest and recognizable need.
• Prioritization of qualified target companies based on interest, need, and proximity to closing.
• Identification and approach of relevant decision-makers at these target companies.
• Establishment of qualified initial contacts and professional initiation of concrete customer discussions.
• Preparation and execution of customer discussions to concretize interest.
• Conducting supplementary, structured market interviews to classify needs and use cases.
• Documentation of customer feedback and market requirements.
• Creation of a summarized market validation based on the identified customer potentials.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in at least one of the following areas: Industrial transformation Decarbonization of energy-intensive industries Energy and heat strategies
• Business development and sales in an industrial environment
• Market validation and customer discovery Funding and transformation programs
• Experience in the chemical, paper, glass, building materials, metal, refinery, and other energy-intensive industries is particularly relevant. These industries are among the relevant target segments for current decarbonization and funding programs.

To successfully market an innovative product in the field of industrial decarbonization, an experienced consultant is to be commissioned with the independent execution of market validation, customer access, and business initiation.

The goal of the service is to identify relevant industrial companies, approach suitable decision-makers, and conduct structured market discussions to assess customer needs, market acceptance, and possible use cases. This will create the technical basis for potential customers to formalize their interest in an MoU or LoI.
