THE ROLE
Drive organizational transformation for a major retail group. Design and implement a new operating model to improve efficiency, customer experience, and competitive positioning. Own end-to-end design from current-state assessment through change delivery.

Essential Experience:

- Conduct current-state organizational and process assessment
- Design target operating model aligned to business strategy
- Map critical processes (supply chain, store operations, customer service, merchandising)
- Identify organizational structure, roles, and capability gaps
- Identify cost reduction and efficiency opportunities
- Design performance metrics and KPIs
- Develop implementation roadmaps with phasing and sequencing
- Quantify financial impact and benefits realization
- Assess technology requirements (POS, inventory, e-commerce, workforce management)
- Design process improvements and automation opportunities
- Support systems selection and implementation planning
- Change readiness assessment
- Develop change management and communications strategy
- Engage store leadership, head office, and frontline teams
- Design training and capability-building programmes
- Lead transformation governance and steering committees
- Support implementation planning and workstream orchestration
- Coach internal transformation office and project teams
- Monitor progress against KPIs and benefits tracking
- Problem-solve blockers and refine approach based on real-world feedback
- Retail industry experience is essential
- Operating model and organizational design expertise
- Process mapping and efficiency improvement background
- Change management and stakeholder engagement experience
- Supply chain or store operations experience
- Technology-enabled transformation
- Omnichannel (online/offline) experience
