Clinical Informatician (Interim)

Project overview

The assignment involves initiating a research project on alarm fatigue and supporting a digital care communication program within the hospital.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Setting up and shaping the research project 'Quieter Wards' for departments such as CCU, ICU, Neurology, ER, Observatory, Pediatrics, Neonatology, and Cardiology
• Inventorying existing practices regarding monitoring and alarm follow-up
• Developing technical, organizational, and substantive prerequisites and improvement proposals for the use of monitoring devices
• Coordinating consultations with stakeholders such as nursing departments, doctors, and medical technology
• Mapping risks and interdependencies within the alarm chain
• Monitoring the progress of ongoing projects within the Digital Care Communication program (VOSMAS)
• Re-calibrating PRI's and emergency procedures related to medical monitoring and alarm systems
• Further developing blueprints and attention to security and compliance aspects (PRI, RIE, BIV classifications)
• Participating in the analysis of hybrid situations where old and new systems for digital care communication coexist
• Completed HBO or WO education in Technical Medicine, Clinical Informatics, Biomedical Technology, Clinical Physics, or Health Sciences, with an affinity for medical technology
• At least 3 years of work experience with medical technology in a hospital environment
• Experience with monitoring and alarm systems, digital care communication, and/or implementation of medical technology
• Demonstrable experience with research, risk analyses, and implementation projects at the intersection of healthcare, ICT, and technology
• Experience with IQMessenger, VOS/MOS/MAS, or similar systems is recommended
