Commissioning Manager for Data Center Project

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Commissioning Manager for a large, mission-critical data center project in Finland. In this role, you will lead and oversee all commissioning activities in the area of Quality Commissioning (QCx).

Your tasks include developing and implementing commissioning strategies and execution programs, as well as coordinating FAT, SAT, IST, and integrated system tests. You will ensure that mechanical, electrical, and critical infrastructure systems are safely commissioned, tested, and ready for operation. You will work closely with contractors, engineers, suppliers, and project managers to resolve technical issues and minimize delays.

Your responsibilities include overseeing quality assurance procedures, commissioning documentation, and test protocols, as well as controlling schedules, progress, and KPIs. You will lead commissioning teams and technical specialists through the entire project lifecycle and support technical improvements and best practices.

We expect a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Building Services Engineering, as well as at least 7 years of experience in commissioning, engineering, or mission-critical environments. Proven experience with data center or critical infrastructure projects is required. You should have comprehensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, QCx processes, as well as MEP systems, BMS, and building automation. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills are essential.

This position is structured as freelance/contract. Candidates must be self-employed and have the necessary work authorization for the EU.
