Project Manager for Data Centre Commissioning

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to support a specialized data centre commissioning project at a site in Finland. In this role, you will lead and coordinate the entire Quality Commissioning (QCx) phase of a large, mission-critical data centre project.

Your responsibilities include managing and coordinating all commissioning activities, monitoring project milestones and delivery dates, and collaborating with mechanical, electrical, and commissioning teams. You will manage FAT, SAT, IST, and integrated system commissioning programs, ensuring all activities comply with project specifications, quality standards, and operational requirements.

Furthermore, you will coordinate collaboration with contractors, engineers, suppliers, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and minimize delays. You will monitor project progress, commissioning schedules, KPIs, and budgets, identify project risks, and implement solutions to ensure program delivery. Quality assurance processes, engineering standards, and occupational safety requirements must be adhered to throughout.

We expect a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or Construction Management, along with at least 7 years of experience in project management, commissioning, or engineering environments. Proven experience with data centres or critical infrastructure is required. You should have a deep understanding of MEP systems, BMS, building automation, and facility grid infrastructure.

This position is structured as freelance/contract. Candidates must be self-employed and possess a valid work permit for the EU.
