Project overview

Dear Sir or Madam,

For a demanding project in the regulated financial environment, we are urgently looking for an experienced Senior IT Governance & DORA Remediation Lead with pronounced expertise in IT Risk, Governance, Regulatory Compliance, and the sustainable remediation of regulatory findings.

The focus is on the group-wide further development and operationalization of existing governance and control structures, as well as the sustainable implementation of regulatory requirements, particularly in the context of DORA.

Responsibilities

• Analysis and sustainable remediation of existing and recurring DORA, audit, and regulatory findings across multiple legal entities
• Development and establishment of a central control tower approach for structured management and tracking of regulatory measures
• Strengthening and operationalization of group-wide IT governance, risk, and compliance structures
• Management and coordination of measure implementation, especially in cooperation with 2nd line functions
• Definition and anchoring of clear responsibilities, processes, and control mechanisms
• Ensuring traceable, complete, and auditable documentation (evidence management)
• Further development and implementation of control frameworks and target operating models
• Coordination of various stakeholders and legal entities for the binding implementation of regulatory requirements
• Ensuring the actual application of existing processes, governance structures, and tools
• Active tracking of measures until sustainable and audit-proof implementation

Requirements

Especially important:

We are explicitly looking for an experienced personality with a pronounced hands-on mentality, not just a strategy or concept profile.

You should be able to operationalize complex governance structures, bring together different interests, establish responsibilities bindingly, and consistently drive regulatory measures to demonstrable implementation.

• Several years of sound experience in IT Governance, IT Risk Management, GRC, and regulatory requirements
• Very good knowledge of regulatory frameworks, ideally DORA
• Demonstrable experience in the remediation of audit and regulatory findings
• Experience with 2nd line functions and the management and operationalization of governance and control processes
• Sound knowledge of control frameworks, evidence management, and audit readiness
• Experience in the development and implementation of target operating models and group-wide governance structures
• Experience in complex, international organizational structures with multiple legal entities
• Pronounced stakeholder management skills and ability to manage without direct disciplinary authority
• High level of initiative, assertiveness, and strong implementation orientation
• Confident demeanor, persistence, and political tact
• Very good English skills, both written and spoken
