A technology consulting group is seeking an experienced Senior Consultant with relevant expertise in strategy consulting to independently lead end-to-end workstreams in technology and AI due diligence within the scope of private equity transactions.

• Start: As soon as possible
• Duration: Project-related, approx. 3-6 months (extension possible)
• Remote/On-site: Hybrid (predominantly remote, on-site in Munich as needed)
• Utilization: 80-100%
• Independently lead end-to-end workstreams in Technology Due Diligence (TDD) and AI Due Diligence (AI DD) with full responsibility
• Assess product architecture, platform design, scalability, technical maturity, software development practices, and technical debt
• Evaluate cloud infrastructure, DevOps processes, cybersecurity posture, and dependencies on third-party technologies
• Review AI product strategy, ML/GenAI architectures, MLOps practices, and production readiness of AI systems
• Assess data assets, data quality, governance, and sustainability of competitive advantages
• Conduct management interviews with CTOs, CPOs, technical leaders, and AI leadership teams
• Translate technical findings into investment implications, value creation opportunities, and post-acquisition priorities
• Create investor-oriented reports and present findings to deal teams and investment committees
• Evaluate AI governance frameworks, responsible AI practices, model auditability, and regulatory readiness
• Assess engineering organizations, talent quality, operating models, and delivery capabilities
• Background at a leading strategy consultancy (MBB, top boutique) or in Deal Advisory / Technology Consulting at one of the Big 4
• Solid understanding of modern software architectures, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), DevOps, and cybersecurity
• Proven experience in technology due diligence, ideally in the context of private equity transactions
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence, or an equivalent technical discipline
• Experience in evaluating B2B software, SaaS, AI-native companies, digital platforms, and technological corporate assets
• Hands-on experience with ML/GenAI solutions in production environments (LLMs, RAG, AI agents, fine-tuning, vector databases, MLOps platforms)
• Ability to translate complex technical and AI topics into clear, economically relevant insights for investors and management teams
• Excellent C-level stakeholder management and strong executive-level communication skills
• Combination of consulting and practical engineering experience
• Familiarity with AI governance, regulatory compliance (EU AI Act), and responsible AI frameworks
