Contract Manager Civil Engineering / Water Management Projects (Secondment)

Project overview

As contract manager, you are responsible for the quality of procurement and contract management within a KRW sub-project of Rijkswaterstaat.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Exercising control over the preparation and management of assigned contracts
• Acting as the point of contact for the relevant contracts
• Discussing progress with the project team and sharing knowledge and experience
• Developing procurement strategies and managing contract preparation up to and including tendering and execution
• Ensuring that contracts align with applicable frameworks, guidelines, and internal client needs
• Monitoring a uniform approach at regional and national levels
• Having system, process, and product tests performed
• Assessing whether the contractor meets the contract requirements
• Completed HBO bachelor's degree in technical business administration, civil engineering, cultural engineering, or a comparable technical field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a contract advisor or contract manager on the client side in the civil engineering sector, in the procurement of works and services during preparation and execution
• Basic knowledge of tendering legislation
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, system-oriented contract management, and relevant information systems, including SAP and Relatics
• Knowledge of risk management and contract models such as D&C, performance contracts, and engineering services
