Job description
Seeking a freelance Cross-functional Architect to participate in project scoping, analyze business needs, and define functional and application requirements. The role involves supporting the realization phase and ensuring design consistency.
Project overview
The EDA structure (Architecture Study) brings together 60 to 70 cross-functional functional architects and manages an annual portfolio of 300 to 400 projects. The team ensures the alignment and interoperability of the application portfolio through APIs and file exchanges.
Missions:
Profile sought: solid experience as a Functional Architect or Senior Business Analyst, with an autonomous project management posture. Ability to challenge business needs and dialogue with business and technical teams. Good understanding of application architectures and flows (APIs, file exchanges, process modeling). Mastery or familiarity with architectural methodology frameworks such as eTOM or TOGAF, without dogmatic application. Experience or familiarity in telecoms (FTTH access, 5G network), customer relations (CRM), sales/offers, service catalogs, billing, finance/SAP, IAM, or SQL are assets.
High autonomy to work from sometimes partial documentation and seek information from experts. Technical English required for network/FTTH scopes.
Freelance contract. Start date December 1, 2026, with progressive skill development.
- Participate in scoping, one-off 5-day studies or strategic studies over several months, validate the functional scope and macro-costs.
- Analyze business needs and workflows specified at the functional and application levels, and evaluate MOE's forecast workloads.
- Write a single architecture and scoping document in Confluence including business activity diagrams, process chains, and application sequence diagrams between flows and APIs.
- Define and allocate functional and application requirements to the various MOEs concerned.
- Lead workshops with business stakeholders and MOE study managers.
- Take overall responsibility for a study for 1.5 to 2 months, up to 4 months for complex projects involving up to 30 systems.
- Provide support throughout the realization phase until commissioning: handle design discrepancies, manage evolutions, and participate in test plans and acceptance.
Project details
€750 to €800 per day sold (€650/€680 purchased). Two days of remote work per week.
