Cyber Recovery / Backup Solution Architect

Responsibilities

An experienced Cyber Recovery / Backup Solution Architect is sought for a Cyber Recovery program. The goal is to ensure the successful adoption, operation, and further development of a high-performance Cyber Recovery platform together with the manufacturer Rubrik.

The go-live of the first productive environments is planned for the first or second quarter of 2027. Therefore, the necessary resources should be identified, built up, and qualified early on. Through close collaboration with the manufacturer and targeted shadowing activities, internal know-how is to be built up in order to operate and further develop the platform independently in the medium term.

Accompanying and providing technical support for architecture and design workshops

Evaluating and further developing the target architecture of the Cyber Recovery platform

Analyzing and evaluating data vault concepts as well as recovery and restore scenarios

Coordination with the IT Security, Cloud, and Infrastructure departments

Supporting the definition and design of operational and governance processes

Collaboration with the manufacturer Rubrik during the implementation phase

Accompanying the implementation and supporting knowledge transfer through shadowing

Preparing for independent assumption of architectural responsibility after project completion

Supporting the transition of the platform to stable and sustainable operation

Requirements

Several years of experience as a Solution Architect or IT Consultant in the area of backup, cyber recovery, or comparable infrastructure and security solutions

In-depth and demonstrable knowledge of the Rubrik platform (mandatory)

Experience in the conception and evaluation of complex IT architectures

Knowledge of modern backup and recovery concepts as well as data vault architectures

Experience with recovery scenarios and securing critical IT infrastructures

Experience collaborating with IT Security, Cloud, and Infrastructure teams

Knowledge in designing operational and governance processes

Strong communication and coordination skills in technical and cross-functional teams

Very good German and English language skills
