Project Context

A medium-sized corporate group in the retail and logistics sector has gone live with D365 and is migrating its data warehouse to Microsoft Fabric. Reporting from the old world (including Cubes) is being switched to D365 as the new data source, and a new group reporting system is being created in parallel. The internal data engineering and BI team is familiarizing itself with the D365 data structure and needs external support for this.

Framework Conditions

• Start: By arrangement
• Duration: 3 months
• Utilization: 50-70%
• Remote: 100% with individual on-site appointments

Responsibilities

• You will tap into D365 as a data source and map the relevant data structures (e.g., order header and order line) for reporting.
• You will support the migration of the data warehouse to Microsoft Fabric.
• You will convert existing reportings and cubes to the new D365 data source.
• You will help build reportings and data models for the new group reporting.
• You will pass on your D365 data model knowledge to the internal data engineers, thereby accelerating their familiarization.

Requirements

• Sound knowledge of the D365 data model (F&O), ideally with an AX background
• Practical experience with Microsoft Fabric
• Experience in building data warehouses and BI reportings
• Experience in converting reportings to a new data source
