Responsibilities

Technological Environment

• Responsibility for the architecture of a scalable Enterprise Data Platform
• Development and implementation of a data strategy for analytical and operational use cases
• Definition of data models, data governance standards, and architecture blueprints
• Close collaboration with data engineers, data scientists, and business departments
• Advising management on technological decisions and platform strategy
• Accompanying the migration of existing data platforms into modern cloud environments
• Ensuring data quality, security, and compliance requirements
• Support in building AI and machine learning-capable data structures
• Microsoft Fabric

• Several years of experience as a Data Architect or Lead Data Engineer
• Demonstrable experience in building modern data platforms
• Very good knowledge of cloud data architectures (Azure preferred)
• Experience with Databricks and/or Microsoft Fabric
• Sound expertise in topics such as data modeling, data governance, and data integration
• Experience in regulated environments or critical infrastructure is an advantage
• Fluent German and good English skills

For a leading player in the German energy and utilities sector, we are looking for an experienced Data Architect to take on a central role in building a company-wide data platform.

The company is currently investing heavily in modernizing its data landscape to enable use cases in network optimization, load forecasting, asset performance management, and AI-driven analytics. To this end, the existing data architecture is being fundamentally further developed and aligned with a modern cloud and data platform strategy.
