Job description

Experienced Dagster expert needed to support the implementation and optimization of data pipelines. The role involves technical consulting on structuring data pipelines with Dagster, integrating with tools like dbt and dlt, and developing Dagster components.

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Dagster expert to support the implementation and optimization of data pipelines. The position is designed as a full-time project with flexible working arrangements (predominantly remote with occasional on-site appointments).

Your main tasks include technical consulting on structuring data pipelines with the open-source library Dagster, especially regarding the optimal use of features like Sensors and Partitions. You will support the integration of Dagster with other tools, specifically with dbt and dlt-based ELT solutions. Furthermore, you will develop Dagster components such as Resources, Assets, and Sensors according to requirements and actively contribute to the implementation through programming code.

Further responsibilities include the implementation of automated deployment processes on Kubernetes clusters (CI/CD), conducting code reviews, and participating in agile project meetings.

We expect extensive experience in Python development (at least 5 years) and data engineering. You should have expertise in complex dbt projects and experience with containerized orchestrators like Airflow or Dagster. Knowledge of AWS infrastructure and agile project management methods are advantageous. Ideally, you have several reference projects in the area of dbt and data engineering.

The position offers the opportunity to work with modern data technologies and support an experienced development team. German is required.
