Data Architect

Project overview

For our client, we are looking for a Data Architect (m/f/d) for consulting services in the project, starting immediately:

Responsibilities

• Technical coordination of the sub-areas data, ERP, image recognition, and process
• Recording technical requirements from the business departments and coordinated handover to the Product Owners
• Overall technical responsibility for the data infrastructure and interface architecture between shopfloor (IoT/electrical engineering), cloud data platforms, and ERP systems
• Conception, setup, and support of ETL pipelines for the extraction, transformation, and migration of heterogeneous data
• Development and support of ETL workers for processing data from production facilities, sensor technology, and image recognition systems
• Technical responsibility for data management, data modeling, and data processing within Odoo
• Ensuring consistent data flows along the manufacturing and processing process
• Connection of shopfloor data sources such as sensor technology, automation technology, and control systems
• Coordination of technical requirements with production and electrical engineering teams
• Functional translation and coordination of the sub-areas data, ERP, image recognition, and process
• Close coordination with senior project management regarding technical requirements and interfaces
• Definition of standards to ensure data quality
• Monitoring of automated pipeline processes
• Error analysis and optimization for data and system breaks

Requirements

• Very good experience as a Data Architect, Data Engineer, IoT Systems Engineer, or IT/OT Integration Specialist
• Sound experience in the technical management of data projects in an industrial environment
• Ideally, production experience in the shopfloor environment (automation, electrical engineering, production, ERP)
• IoT background
• Experience in data aggregation from various sources
• Experience in creating ETL workers
• Experience in porting to Odoo
• Knowledge of data management and data processing
• Practical experience in the production environment
• Knowledge of ERP, MES, and SCADA connections
• Understanding of manufacturing and process flows on the shopfloor
• Very good knowledge in the development of ETL pipelines and workers
• Very good knowledge in data modeling and data integration
• Practical experience with Odoo or comparable modular ERP systems
• Experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks
• Strong interface and communication skills
• Ability to record, structure, and forward complex technical topics to project management
• Analytical, structured, and independent way of working
• Team and user orientation
• Assertiveness and quality awareness
• Very good German and English skills

Nice to have

• Knowledge of MLOps
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for Data Engineering
• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes
• Experience with quality-oriented image recognition systems in automation or processing technology
• Experience in collaboration between external partners, IT development, and shopfloor operations
