Responsibilities

User, group, and rights management in the metadata environment, in line with the authorization policy (RBAC). Monitoring of availability, performance, and capacity; incident resolution. Support with any migration of 9.4 content (jobs, reports, data streams). Managing data sources and data streams exposed in SAS. Contributing to data governance: compliance with privacy and security guidelines, access requests, and logging/auditing. 2nd-line support: resolving user questions and incidents related to the platform. Advising on platform development, capacity planning, and improvements.

Knowledge sharing with fellow administrators and users. The specialist has the ability to connect technology and business, and understands and translates both perspectives. From this integrated insight, the specialist is expected to contribute to the next steps regarding the current data platform, in line with the strategic and operational needs of RVO. Background of the assignment RVO is increasingly focusing on data-driven work. Within RVO, the Data department plays a facilitating and driving role in this.

The department supports the entire organization in optimally utilizing data for policy formation, execution, and accountability. RVO is currently on the verge of transitioning from the existing data platform to a future-proof cloud environment. This transition offers opportunities for modernization, flexibility, and scalability, but also requires carefulness. The current platform hosts a wide range of products and solutions, developed in collaboration with various parts of the organization. We want to clearly map this existing value and incorporate it into considerations for the future setup.

Requirements Demonstrable minimum of 5 years of experience as a data engineer Certification SAS Data Integration Studio Certification SAS Base programmer Wishes Demonstrable work experience as an engineer within a data environment of the Dutch government, preferably at an executive agency. Demonstrable work experience in the role of consultant and/or advisor within an IT or data environment. Demonstrable work experience as a technical administrator of IT and/or data environments. Project details

€105,- Assignment description The Data department is looking for an experienced administrator to keep the SAS platform (SAS 9.4 and SAS Viya) and the data environment running on it operational, maintainable, and secure. Although there are developments around modernizing the entire data platform, the SAS platform will remain part of the ecosystem for the coming years. The administrator will work closely with data teams within and outside the department.
