We are currently recruiting for three Data Engineers to join a major data transformation and migration programme within a secure public-sector environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Data Engineers to work on a large-scale migration from SAS 9.4 and SAS Viya 3.5 to SAS Viya 4 on AWS, helping to design, build and optimise the data pipelines and integration processes required to support the transition.

The Role

You will be responsible for developing robust, scalable data pipelines and supporting the migration and transformation of data between Legacy and modern SAS environments.

You will work closely with SAS Developers, Architects, Business Analysts and Test teams to ensure data integrity, performance, security and quality throughout the migration.

If you're an experienced Data Engineer with SAS, ETL and cloud experience, and you're looking for your next SC-cleared contract opportunity, we'd be keen to hear from you.

• Design and develop ETL/data pipelines to support migration to SAS Viya 4.
• Build and optimise data flows within a cloud-native AWS environment.
• Work with SAS Developers to refactor existing processes for SAS Viya 4 compatibility.
• Develop data transformation, validation and quality processes.
• Automate data ingestion and processing workflows.
• Integrate pipelines into CI/CD environments using Jenkins and Git.
• Implement monitoring and alerting for data quality and pipeline health.
• Support testing, UAT and production readiness activities.
• Work collaboratively within Agile and DevOps teams.
• SAS Data Integration, Pentaho or Talend
• SAS 9.4 and/or SAS Viya 3.x/4
• SQL and Python
• AWS
• Docker and Kubernetes
• ETL, data migration and transformation
• Data modelling and performance tuning
• CI/CD and DevOps
• Large-scale data engineering environments
• SAS or AWS Data Engineering certification
• Experience within government or another highly regulated environment
• Denodo or other data virtualisation technologies
• Experience supporting major data migration programmes
• Knowledge of SAS Viya 4 cloud-native architecture
