Data Governance Advisor – Data Quality & Master Data Management

Project overview

An international energy company is looking for an experienced Data Governance Advisor (Senior) for its Corporate Data Chapter in Brussels.

The company is pursuing a data-driven transformation and wants to empower the entire organization to use data as a driver for strategic goals, transformation initiatives, and regulatory compliance. As a Data Advisor in a product team, you will bridge the gap between business and data management: together with subject matter experts, you will define solid foundations for data management regarding metadata, responsibilities, and data discoverability on the data platform. You will contribute to improving and simplifying data management initiatives.

Responsibilities

The team works on data initiatives at locations in Belgium and Germany. You bring respect, openness, innovation, and customer orientation and support the transformation to a data-driven organization.

Position: 60% Remote, Freelance, 13 months, 100% utilization

• Improving the data governance methodology through field knowledge and feedback
• Analyzing business requirements with a focus on data, organization, processes, and technology
• Advising and training Data Owners, Data Stewards, and business and IT teams
• Managing and further developing the Business Glossary as a common language within the company
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary stakeholders and product teams
• Promoting a one-team mentality and generating business value
