Data Platform Architect (Azure Data Factory / Snowflake / Terraform / Power BI) Wanted

Project overview

For our client, I am looking for an experienced Data Platform Architect with a pronounced hands-on mentality. We are seeking an expert who not only develops architectural concepts but also implements them technically independently and realizes production-ready solutions.

Responsibilities

• Azure Data Factory: Conception and implementation of robust end-to-end data pipelines, from data ingestion through dbt transformations to automated Power BI refreshes
• Snowflake: Architecture, SQL development, data modeling, and performance and cost optimization
• Terraform & Security: Automation of infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and implementation of scalable RBAC concepts according to the least privilege principle across Snowflake, Azure, and Power BI
• dbt & Git: Establishment of structured development processes including Git workflows, code reviews, tests, CI/CD, and release management
• Monitoring & Operations: Implementation of monitoring, logging, alerting, and reliable error handling and recovery processes

• Sound practical experience as a Data Platform Architect, Data Engineer, or in a comparable role
• Very good knowledge of Azure Data Factory and Snowflake, especially in architecture, data modeling, and performance optimization
• Practical experience with Terraform, dbt, Git, and CI/CD processes
• Knowledge of RBAC, cloud security, and the operation of production-ready data pipelines
• Pronounced hands-on mentality and the ability to implement technical solutions independently
• Demonstrable project experience with Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, Terraform, and Power BI within the last twelve months
• As the client is looking for an expert who can start independently immediately, at least 8 years of project or professional experience is expected
• Experience in the medical/pharmaceutical industry is an advantage
• Project start: immediately
• Project duration: approx. 3-4 months, optional extension
