Project overview

Context

As part of its transformation into a Data-Centric and Data-Driven organization, a major group in the Energy/Utilities sector wishes to strengthen its Data teams with a Data Advisor Services.

The consultant will work with business and IT teams to facilitate the exploitation and valorization of data across the company.

They will be involved in cross-functional Data initiatives within this organization and its subsidiaries.

• Data Governance & Data Management
• Contribute to the improvement of Data Governance methodologies and practices through field experience feedback.
• Support the structuring and formalization of data management practices.
• Participate in the definition of metadata, responsibilities, and data discoverability rules.
• Contribute to Data Quality Management.
• Support Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives.
• Maintain and evolve the Business Glossary transversally.
• Formalize the business definitions of data, their meaning, and their uses.
• Ensure a common language between different departments and teams.
• Facilitate the documentation, understanding, and accessibility of data.
• Understand, analyze, and challenge business needs.
• Act as a liaison between Business, IT, and Data teams.
• Advise Data Owners, Data Stewards, and business teams on Data best practices.
• Organize and lead workshops and awareness sessions.
• Support teams in adopting Data Management practices through coaching and training.
• Identify pragmatic solutions for quickly generating business value.
• Support teams in a continuous improvement logic.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and Product Teams.
• Adopt a product, customer, and results-oriented approach.
• Promote the cross-functionality of Data initiatives across the company.
• Cross-functional Data initiatives in a large group in the Energy/Utilities sector
• Languages: fluent English mandatory + fluent French, Dutch, or German
