Data Scientist – Target Data Architecture & AI

For one of our clients, we are looking for an experienced Data Scientist (m/f/d) to conceptualize a future-proof data architecture for corporate management and controlling.

The goal of the project is to create a reliable, scalable, and AI-capable data foundation for modern controlling, reporting, and analysis processes. Requirements for data protection, information security, and role- and rights-based access concepts must be considered. Furthermore, suitable BI tools and AI solutions are to be evaluated and recommendations for their use developed.

Framework Conditions:

• Analysis of existing data sources, data structures, interfaces, and reporting processes
• Recording and evaluation of business requirements from controlling, finance, management, and other departments
• Conception of a future-proof target data architecture, including data model, database design, and integration architecture
• Development of a role- and rights-based authorization concept for AI-supported reports, considering multi-tenancy, access separation, logging, and audit-proof traceability
• Examination and consideration of requirements for data protection, information security, and retention and deletion periods
• Evaluation of existing and potential BI tools regarding functionality, integration, usability, costs, and future viability
• Creation of a well-founded decision paper on the necessity and selection of suitable BI solutions
• Evaluation of suitable AI tools and AI architectures for database access, data analysis, reporting, and knowledge access
• Development of an implementation roadmap with priorities, dependencies, milestones, and effort estimations
• Creation of technical and business documentation as a basis for later implementation
• Coordination with relevant stakeholders from management, IT, security, data protection, and business departments
• Several years of experience in consulting and conceptualizing modern data architectures
• Project experience in the controlling, finance, or corporate data environment
• Profound knowledge in data modeling, database design, data integration, as well as ETL/ELT processes and APIs
• Experience in the areas of Data Science, Data Analytics, and Database Architecture
• Experience in the conception of role-based authorization and access systems
• Knowledge of data protection, information security, and data governance
• Experience in evaluating and selecting BI and analytics solutions
• Practical experience with AI use cases in the data, reporting, or analysis environment
• Experience in creating architectural concepts, decision papers, and implementation roadmaps
• Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented approach, as well as a strong understanding of business processes and controlling requirements
• Ability to communicate complex technical contexts understandably and appropriately for the audience
• Confident demeanor in exchanges with management, IT, and business departments
• Very good German language skills, both written and spoken
