Data Steward specializing in Web Analytics

Project overview

As part of its Data activities, an industrial player is looking for an experienced Data Steward specialized in Web Analytics.

The mission consists of coordinating the activities of a Web Analytics team involved in website tracking, Tag Management, and Google Analytics. The consultant organizes the team's work and communicates project progress to stakeholders. In particular, they ensure planning, budget monitoring, subject tracking, and capacity management.

They analyze and frame business needs by evaluating their feasibility, costs, and return on investment. They formulate recommendations and design detailed solutions, with a strong component of data modeling.

They write functional specifications for Data Engineering developments carried out in an AWS Data Lake environment, as well as for visualization solutions under Qlik Sense.

They prepare and execute integration tests, test data models with SQL, and validate functional rules. They also control reporting solutions to verify data contracts, indicators, dimensions, and visualizations. They support business users during UAT acceptance phases.

The consultant organizes and monitors the production releases of evolutions, projects, and bug fixes. They ensure communication around releases and bug handling.

They guarantee the availability and quality of data on the solutions under their responsibility. They also contribute to data governance by maintaining the Data Catalog and communicating about Data Products intended for self-service analysis.

The mission includes user training and support, as well as corrective and evolutionary maintenance of the solutions. The consultant produces the necessary documentation, including specifications, practical guides, and schedules.

In a continuous improvement approach, they propose evolutions of methods, processes, and tools to improve the efficiency of the scope. They capitalize on achievements, share best practices, and communicate project news to other Data Stewards and relevant teams.

Activities are conducted in a digital, innovative, multicultural, cross-functional, and Agile environment, using Office and JIRA for project coordination and monitoring.

Profile Sought

The profile sought has between 3 and 5 years of experience in Data or BI project management, as well as a minimum of 3 years of experience in coordinating a Web Analytics team.

Confirmed experience is required in the following areas:

Experience with AWS Data Lake and Qlik Sense is expected for the design, specification, and validation of Data and reporting solutions.

The profile must be able to frame business needs, study their feasibility, costs, and return on investment, then propose adapted recommendations. They must also know how to manage planning, budgets, team capacities, and communication with stakeholders.

A master's degree in computer science, IT engineering, or equivalent is required.

The position requires autonomy, proactivity, analytical and problem-solving skills, organizational skills, and planning ability. The consultant must possess excellent interpersonal skills, a collaborative spirit, and the ability to evolve effectively in a matrix organization.
