Data Warehouse Developer Data Vault 2.0

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Data Warehouse Developer with a specialization in Data Vault 2.0 to support a project until the end of 2026. The position is primarily remote with occasional on-site appointments.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the further development and expansion of an existing data warehouse system. Your core tasks include the functional and technical modeling of new hubs, links, and satellites according to the Data Vault 2.0 standard, the implementation and optimization of ETL/ELT data loads, and the maintenance and expansion of a BIML-based generator. Furthermore, you will carry out quality assurance measures, create tests, and document processes for knowledge transfer to the internal team.

Requirements

Framework:

Full-time position, Start: as soon as possible, Duration until 12/31/2026 with an option for extension in 2027.

• At least 5 years of practical experience in Data Vault 2.0 modeling and implementation in at least 2 DWH projects
• Sound knowledge of MS SQL Server, T-SQL, performance tuning, indexing, and partitioning
• Confident experience in the design and operation of SSIS packages
• Independent way of working and experience in agile teams
• Very good German or English skills (min. C2 level)
• Advantageous: Experience in the financial industry (insurance, banking, or regulated environment), CI/CD knowledge, Git, and automated deployment
