Data Warehouse Developer (m/f/d) in SAS Base Environment with COBOL Experience

Project overview

For our client in the insurance industry, we are looking for a Data Warehouse Developer (m/f/d) ASAP to support the project.

Responsibilities

• Development, maintenance, and optimization of data warehouse solutions in the SAS Base environment
• Conception and implementation of ETL processes for the extraction, transformation, and provision of data
• Development and adaptation of SAS Base programs for processing, preparing, and analyzing large datasets
• Analysis, maintenance, and further development of existing applications and data processing procedures
• Analysis and understanding of existing COBOL programs as well as transfer of business and technical logic into the SAS environment
• Execution of error analysis, performance optimization, and quality assurance measures
• Ensuring data quality and consistency within data processing procedures
• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation

Requirements

• Sound practical experience in development with SAS Base
• Sound knowledge in the development and maintenance of data warehouse solutions and ETL processes
• Sound knowledge in the processing, transformation, and provision of structured datasets
• Good knowledge of COBOL and experience with existing applications in the mainframe environment
• Sound knowledge in the migration, replacement, or further development of existing data processing logic
• Relevant SAS certifications, especially in the area of SAS Base Programming
• Experience in the banking, insurance, or building society environment is an advantage
• Analytical and structured way of working as well as the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with complex system landscapes
