Seeking a senior DBA with 10-12 years of experience in both production and study roles to improve the service continuity of critical e-commerce platform databases and support their transformation towards modern, secure, and scalable architectures.
Project overview
Context
Position based in Paris with 2 days of remote work per week.
Start date: ASAP.
English level: professional mandatory.
Required seniority: 10 to 12 years minimum experience.
Overall objective: improve the service continuity of critical databases for an e-commerce platform and support their transformation towards modern, secure, and scalable architectures.
Strong project constraint: dual expertise in Production DBA + Study DBA is essential to guarantee both the stability of the current platform and the success of the modernization.

- Ensure the availability, performance, and security of the e-commerce platform's critical databases.
- Administer SQL Server environments (AlwaysOn, backups, DR/BCP, monitoring, capacity planning).
- Diagnose complex production incidents and participate in crisis management.
- Implement maintenance, optimization, and version upgrade plans.
- Guarantee backups, restores, and recovery tests.
- Support development teams from the design phases.
- Challenge data models and technical choices.
- Participate in technical reviews and validate Pull Requests impacting databases.
- Optimize SQL queries and support developers with performance issues.
- Define best practices for development around data access.
- Actively participate in the platform's transformation around several technologies.
- Contribute to migration, modernization, and architecture simplification projects.
- Industrialize database deployments.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Automate recurring operations.
- Participate in the implementation of CI/CD pipelines.
- Contribute to various projects and the implementation of different solutions/applications using databases.
- Databases: strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise, AlwaysOn, SQL tuning, indexing, partitioning, backups, replication, and high availability.
- Good knowledge of: PostgreSQL, Patroni, Couchbase, and Cloud databases.
- Architecture: ability to intervene in data modeling, application architecture, high availability, resilience, DRP/BCP work, performance, and scalability.
- DevOps: Git, CI/CD, Terraform, Terragrunt, and Ansible.
- Systems: Linux, Windows, VMware, and Kubernetes (notions).
