Design Engineer B (contract)

Project overview

The assignment includes technical preparation of projects for distribution and medium-voltage substations.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Prepare and review preliminary, final, and execution designs
• Convert technical starting points into executable designs
• Consult with internal stakeholders and contractors about design choices
• Review designs, calculations, and technical documentation from contractors
• Provide input for permits and technical justifications
• Support the transfer of projects to the execution phase
• Ensure quality and completeness during technical preparation
• Identify risks, deviations, and opportunities for improvement
• Participate in managing UAV-GC contracts
• Provide technical support to project teams during the preparation phase
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in engineering and technical preparation in infrastructure, energy, or industrial projects
• Experience with underground low-voltage and medium-voltage infrastructure, substation work is recommended
• Experience with reviewing and assessing designs prepared by contractors
• Knowledge of project-based collaboration in multidisciplinary teams
• Experience with contract forms, including UAV-GC
• Dutch-language CV
