Job description
Mechanical designer needed to create an automated flap actuation solution for a mass spectrometer, including drive concept selection and documentation.
Project overview
+ Mechanical planning and constructive design of a solution for automated actuation of a flap on a mass spectrometer.
+ Development of a function for automated opening and closing of the flap as well as holding the closed position through defined contact pressure.
+ Selection of a suitable drive concept.
+ Creation of the necessary documents for parts procurement.
Parts ordering, assembly of components on-site, and execution of function and practical tests.
Requirements
+ Very good experience as a designer in the field of drive technology and mechanical engineering.
+ Experience in the mechanical design and layout of assemblies and drive solutions.
+ Experience in the selection and integration of drive systems, ideally with stepper motors.
+ Experience in the development of mechanisms for motion and power transmission.
+ Experience in the assembly, commissioning, and testing of mechanical systems.
+ Experience in an industrial environment as well as in the development of solutions with a view to later series or multiple production.
