DevOps Engineer (Docker, OpenShift, GitLab CI)

Project overview

For a project in the transport and logistics sector, we are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) with a focus on container technologies and CI/CD pipelines. The position can be filled 100% remotely and offers flexible working arrangements.

Responsibilities

You will design and optimize CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins. You will ensure technical compatibility between local build environments and cloud infrastructures and automate build processes for intermediate artifacts. Furthermore, you will advise on the operation and scalability of container runtime environments and support the containerization of applications with Docker. You will establish monitoring and tracing tools for system stability and integrate automated security checks and vulnerability scans into the build environments.

Requirements

You have extensive knowledge of containerization and container orchestration (Docker & OpenShift). Experience with Git and GitLab CI is essential. Knowledge of industry-specific standards and data formats in the transport sector is required. You have up-to-date knowledge of build infrastructures and can proactively solve complex technical interrelationships with the team.

Desirable are experiences with quality assurance processes, Atlassian tools (Confluence, Jira), and Visual Studio Code, as well as the ability to critically question and optimize existing processes.

The project runs for a period of 7 months with possible extension. A high degree of personal responsibility and technical problem-solving competence are central to this role.
