Assignment Description

As a DevOps Engineer, you will work within the System Team. This team supports the other DevOps teams within KOOP and is responsible for infrastructure standards, guidelines, and major infrastructure projects.

Within the System Team, you will be the specialist in the field of Kubernetes and will support the development teams with the migration of their software from the VM environment (Windows/Linux) to the Kubernetes platform. This also includes setting up, maintaining, and expanding Continuous Delivery Pipelines in GitLab, Azure DevOps, and Maven/Nexus.

As a knowledge holder, you will advise the Product Owner of the System Team and the Lead Architect. Your technical background will enable you to provide valuable input on how the System Team within KOOP can best fulfill its steering role towards DevOps teams and suppliers.

Because this requires a lot of consultation and contact with the teams, good knowledge of the Dutch language is necessary.

Background of the assignment

KOOP currently has its housing and managed hosting with an external supplier, but this is being migrated to the Standard Platform of Logius and to the Government Data Center (ODC) Noord. This Standard Platform is a scalable container platform based on open source and Cloud technology and has standard CI/CD functionality and OTAP environments (Kubernetes Namespaces).

Requirements

Only submit Dutch-language CVs with a maximum of 5 pages.

In-depth knowledge of containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.

Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Python, or Bash

Candidate has their own (development) laptop with a password, encrypted hard drive (encryption), up-to-date antivirus software, and a stable internet connection for the work to be performed.

Minimum HBO work and thinking level (5 years)

Experience specifically with the services of ODC Noord and the Standard Platform of Logius (1 year)

Wishes

Proficiency in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines.

Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Understanding of Windows and Linux management on virtual machines.

Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Certified Kubernetes Administrator are a plus.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an Agile team setting.

GitLab, Harbor, Kibana, and Grafana experience is a plus.

GitOps experience is a plus.

Degree to which the candidate has knowledge of/experience with Kubernetes and Docker;

Degree to which the candidate has knowledge of/experience with Continuous Delivery Pipelines in GitLab and/or Azure DevOps;

Degree to which the candidate has knowledge of/experience with Continuous Delivery Pipelines of Java and/or .NET custom software;

Degree to which the candidate has knowledge of/experience with Bash and/or Powershell scripting;

Degree to which the candidate has knowledge of/experience with Linux and Windows.

Degree to which the candidate has knowledge of/experience with SAFe / Agile working.

Additional Information

When you, as a supplier, offer a professional to us and they are placed, we will need information from you as a contracting party, including regarding the Chain Liability Act (Wet keten- en inlenersaansprakelijkheid).

The purpose of the 'WKA' is to prevent abuse in the remittance of payroll taxes at all links in the chain; from supplier to client.

We cover these risks for our clients through a blocked account, the G-account. This is an account to which a portion of the invoice amount is deposited and from which you can pay payroll taxes and VAT to the Tax Authorities.

The percentage to be deposited depends on whether you have a SNA certification (NEN-4400-1 or NEN-4400-2) or not, and whether your company is located in the Netherlands or abroad.

You can apply for the G-account from the Tax Authorities.

If you cannot obtain a G-account (and you can provide proof of this from the Tax Authorities), you also have the option to provide an accountant's statement (assurance report regarding personnel lending) every quarter. In this, a certified accountant (AA or RA) will issue a statement on the correctness, completeness, and timeliness of the remittances.
