Project overview

As a DevOps Platform Engineer, you will contribute to the release process and management of the GENIUS platform.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Automating the entire release process of the GENIUS applications
• Setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps Server and Git
• Developing PowerShell scripts and C# logic for reliable software deployment according to the OTAP model
• Analyzing and resolving deployment issues together with colleagues
• Further developing and managing the internal PowerShell module
• Coordinating release planning with the development teams
• Monitoring the performance of CI/CD pipelines and resolving malfunctions
• Managing branching and merging strategy within the Git repositories
• Ensuring best practices and security guidelines during releases
• Documenting processes and procedures for CI/CD and releases
• Collaborating with developers, testers, and other stakeholders on continuous improvement of the release process
• Demonstrable experience with Azure DevOps Server or comparable CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI
• Extensive knowledge of PowerShell and automation of build and deployment processes
• Experience with version control via Git
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, also under pressure
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Basic knowledge of TSQL queries for Microsoft SQL Server
• Knowledge of TLS/SSL certificates, Active Directory, and Windows Failover Clusters is a plus
• Knowledge of C#, Ansible, or cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS is a plus
