Digital Operations Platform Transformation Lead

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Transformation Lead to conceptualize and manage a company-wide Digital Operations Platform. In this freelance role, you will shape the digital future of a large organization and be responsible for the strategic direction of a forward-looking platform project.

Your tasks include developing a strategic target vision and a viable overall concept for building the platform. You will develop a product and platform roadmap, taking into account business requirements, technological dependencies, and strategic goals. You will conceptualize a structured approach for capturing and evaluating use cases, as well as for prioritizing relevant use cases and platform functions.

A key focus is on designing platform components that can be used across the board to avoid isolated solutions and ensure future scalability. You will translate functional and technological requirements into concrete platform requirements and develop economic decision-making bases, including cost and capacity considerations. You will also develop suitable process models for implementation, rollout, and acceptance, as well as a viable lifecycle and service model.

You bring in-depth practical experience in the strategic management of digital products and platforms, as well as extensive transformation projects. Proven experience in platform and product strategies, a deep understanding of modern integration concepts (APIs, event-driven approaches), practical experience with Data Products and decentralized data architectures, as well as agile product experience should be demonstrated. Confident handling of economic considerations, TCO assessments, and management of external partners complete your profile. Experience in international matrix organizations is an advantage.
