DOP Transformation Lead for Corporate IT

Responsibilities

Profile

• Development of a strategic target image and a viable overall concept for the establishment of a Digital Operations Platform
• Elaboration of a product and platform roadmap, considering business requirements, technological dependencies, and strategic objectives
• Development of a structured approach for capturing and evaluating potential use cases based on benefit, reusability, feasibility, dependencies, and costs
• Evaluation and prioritization of relevant use cases and required platform functions as a basis for the phased development of the platform
• Conception of platform components usable across the board to avoid isolated solutions and enable later scaling to other business areas and locations
• Translation of functional and technological requirements into concrete platform requirements and actionable work packages, considering sustainability and future operational capability
• Development of economic decision-making bases for platform development, including costs, capacity requirements, and expected added value
• Elaboration of suitable process models for the introduction, rollout, and acceptance of the future platform in different business areas and locations
• Definition of suitable key performance indicators to evaluate the usage, added value, and future development of the platform after its introduction
• Evaluation of contributions from external technology and implementation partners, as well as development of an approach for the long-term safeguarding of know-how and critical platform competencies
• Conception of a viable lifecycle and service model for the future platform, including appropriate quality, governance, and service requirements
• Sound practical experience in the strategic management of digital products and platforms, as well as in extensive transformation projects
• Demonstrable experience in the conception of platform and product strategies, including development planning and methodological prioritization
• In-depth understanding of modern integration concepts, especially API-based architectures, event-driven approaches, and enterprise-wide process integration
• Experience in handling Data Products and in establishing cross-functional data standards and decentrally organized data architectures
• Practical experience in agile product and platform projects, as well as in the conception and establishment of long-term viable platform organizations
• Confident handling of economic considerations, investment decisions, TCO evaluations, and the management of external service providers and technology partners
• Experience in internationally structured matrix organizations and in coordinating diverse functional and technological interests
• Fluent English skills and a strong ability to present complex technical and functional issues understandably to different stakeholders
• Sound experience in the production or industrial sector as a mandatory requirement
• Good understanding of processes along industrial value chains, especially in Supply Chain Planning, Production, Engineering Change, as well as PLM and ERP environments
