Project overview

For the further development of an embedded software platform, we are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Developer (m/f/d). The focus is on the conception, development, and optimization of a modular platform architecture for embedded systems under Linux. In addition to sound knowledge of C, experience with C++, Python, and modern embedded Linux environments is required.

Responsibilities

• Development and further development of an embedded software platform
• Hardware-near software development in C and optionally C++
• Development and integration of software modules under embedded Linux
• Creation of tools, automations, and test scripts with Python
• Design and optimization of software architectures and frameworks
• Integration of drivers, middleware, and communication interfaces
• Analysis, debugging, and performance optimization of existing systems
• Implementation of unit, integration, and system tests
• Collaboration with hardware, system, and test development teams

Requirements

• Several years of experience in embedded software development
• Very good knowledge of C
• Good knowledge of C++ and object-oriented software development
• Experience with Python for automation, tool development, or test implementation
• Sound knowledge of Linux or embedded Linux
• Experience in platform development and software architecture
• Experience with communication interfaces such as CAN, Ethernet, SPI, or I²C desirable
• Independent and structured way of working
