Development Engineer - Wiring Harness Development for Commercial Vehicles

Project overview

For our client, we are looking for an experienced Development Engineer with a focus on wiring harness development in the commercial vehicle sector to ensure ongoing development and series support. The focus is on the development, optimization, and support of low-voltage wiring harnesses for special and commercial vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Development, design, and integration of electrical systems in the commercial vehicle sector
• Development and support of low-voltage wiring harnesses
• Series support for existing vehicles and components
• Analysis, evaluation, and optimization of existing wiring harness concepts
• Execution and support of commissioning, fault analysis, and optimizations directly on the vehicle or prototype
• Creation of specifications for electrical components and subsystems
• Independent processing of development tasks based on customer requirements
• Independent concretization and breakdown of requirements as well as derivation of suitable technical solutions
• Contact person for service inquiries and technical 3rd-level support

Requirements

• Many years of project experience as a Development Engineer in the commercial vehicle sector
• Sound experience in the development and series support of wiring harnesses
• Very good knowledge in the low-voltage field
• Project experience with Zuken E3
• Knowledge of SolidWorks Electrical, MATLAB/Simulink, or comparable development tools
• Experience in handling customer requirements and their technical implementation
• High degree of personal responsibility as well as the ability to work solution-oriented even without detailed specifications
• Hands-on mentality as well as structured and agile working methods
• Fluent German language skills
