An experienced ERP process consultant is sought to analyze an existing industry ERP system for a medium-sized trading company in NRW, Germany. The role involves defining future requirements, evaluating development vs. system change options, and creating a requirements specification document.
Project overview
A medium-sized trading company with multiple locations has been working with a legacy industry ERP for many years. The system needs a fundamental evaluation: What is still needed, what is missing, and is further development or a system change the right path? We are looking for an experienced consultant to work with management to develop a clear target vision and derive robust requirements from it.

- Documenting business processes from order processing, warehousing, and handling to invoicing
- Analyzing weaknesses of the existing system
- Developing a requirements specification as a basis for further development or tender
- Evaluating the options of further development or new implementation, including effort estimation
- Close coordination with management and the existing developer
- Several years of experience as an ERP process consultant in medium-sized companies
- Demonstrable experience with requirements specifications, concept development, or ERP selection
- Industry knowledge in metal or steel trading or steel processing (cutting, warehouse stock, material valuation)
- Fluent German language skills
- Willingness to work on-site in NRW
- SQL knowledge for data analysis in the legacy system
- Experience with multiple ERP systems, not just one vendor
- Experience with multi-location scenarios
- Region: North Rhine-Westphalia
- Start: Mid-November 2026
- Utilization: at least 2-5 days per week, predominantly on-site
- Duration: 8 months +
